I have been apple picking once before and I can assure you it is everything you can imagine – the apple smell, the crisp mountain air, the beautiful photo opportunities, and of course, the fruit of your labor (yea, I went there), the apples. I am excited that the autumn season is here and I made it a bucket list item to visit an orchard. Earlier in October, I went on an apple picking adventure at Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
When you step out of your car, you can smell the fresh apple pies and I call that a win. The store itself takes a good 20 minutes to just see everything – the restaurant, the bakery with the fresh apple bread and pies, the tasting room, the stations of apples, and all of the other fun apple themed items. And you cannot forget to get a fresh apple cider slush. It’s pretty much the yummiest drink even on a cool day.
